We are incredibly proud to share that the new Evie’s Gift charity film is now live.
This powerful new film tells the story of why Evie’s Gift was created and shines a light on the vital support we provide to families of critically ill babies and children when hospital-affiliated accommodation is unavailable.
At Evie’s Gift, we believe that when a child is seriously ill, families should be focused on being together — not worrying about where they will sleep, how they will afford accommodation, or whether they can stay close to their child during treatment.
Since 2018, Evie’s Gift has supported over 2,000 families, helping parents, siblings and carers stay close to their loved ones during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Bringing Our Story to Life
A huge thank you goes to Big Picture Films, whose team worked with such care, compassion and professionalism to capture the heart of our mission and tell our story so beautifully on screen.
We were also honoured to work alongside Bristol Children’s Hospital, who supported the filming process and helped make this project possible. Their ongoing partnership is incredibly important to us, with over 50% of our referrals coming from families connected to Bristol Children’s Hospital.
We would especially like to thank Harriet and her family for so courageously sharing their story.
By opening up about their journey, Harriet’s family have helped give a voice to so many other families facing similar challenges. Their honesty and willingness to share such a personal experience has created something truly powerful — helping others understand the emotional, practical and financial pressures families can face when a child is seriously ill in hospital.
