At 2am on Sunday 10th May, our team of 14 walkers set off under the stars with one goal in mind: reaching the summit of Snowdon in time to watch the sunrise, all while raising vital funds for families of critically ill babies and children.
Battling steep climbs, tired legs, cold temperatures and the unpredictable Welsh mountain weather, every single participant showed determination, resilience and incredible team spirit throughout the challenge. As the sun rose over the mountains, the sense of achievement at the summit was truly something special.
Together, the team has currently raised an amazing £3,892 — with donations still continuing to come in.
We were delighted to be joined by teams from TechPoint, who have chosen Evie’s Gift as their Charity of the Year, alongside supporters from MillerKnoll and a number of dedicated individual fundraisers who all came together to support families facing some of the most difficult moments imaginable.
Every pound raised will help Evie’s Gift continue providing emergency accommodation support to families who need to stay close to their seriously ill child while they receive hospital treatment — ensuring no parent has to face being separated from their child because of financial hardship.
A huge thank you goes to every participant, donor, supporter and to Blue Sky Adventures for helping make the challenge such a success.
We could not be prouder of what this team achieved together.
