David Crane – 6 X 60@60 (ultra fundraising challenge update)

David has now successfully completed four of his six 60-mile walks. That’s 240 miles, further than the distance separating London and Amsterdam. By the time he completes all six, he could have walked from London to Westphalia in Germany. This is MAJOR. David’s most recent walk, the London to Brighton 100km ultra challenge, took almost a full day. He completed this one with a friend and had this to say at the end:

‘Andrew and I came in at 23hrs and 53 minutes, ranking 328th and 329th. Not bad for a couple of old-timers. About 25% of the starters did not finish, and surprisingly that is higher than the Jurassic which I would think is a tougher walk. The last participant to cross the line was the same lady in both walks, taking 36 and 38 hours. She also completed the Isle of Wight Walk at the end of April in 38 hours, but this time ahead of two other people. There are some remarkable people out there.’
